► Entertainments
Bishop Grosseteste Students’ Union provides a variety of entertainment throughout the year aimed at appealing to the diverse student body we cater for. Regular entertainment includes a versatile mix of live music and professional comedy. The majority of our entertainment takes place in our newly refurbished SU Bar; we also have a larger venue for bigger events.
The entertainments team itself is made up of a group of four full-time students democratically elected by the student body.
The May Ball
Each year the Ents team invite students to attend the annual May Ball, often held at the Lawn in Lincoln. The ball is a great chance for our students to prove they can dress respectfully and enjoy a civilised evening’s entertainment! Tickets normally go on sale at the beginning of April.
Annual Union Trip
Each year the Students’ Union takes students away to explore a cultural educational part of Europe…well it takes them away to another part of Europe, put it that way! Trips in the past have included long weekends in Amsterdam and Dublin and there are more places to come, so keep your eyes peeled!
B-Festival
This is the Unions biggest event of the year, our very own music festival! Forget the V-Festival, Leeds, Reading and even Glastonbury! As the SU hosts our very own at a much cheaper price and without the mud! The event usually takes place in May, so don’t miss out!
