► STAMP

Student Ambassador Programme (STAMP)

Run by the University College, this scheme aims to get the students of Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln involved in representing the University College at a variety of events.

What does the role of Student Ambassador involve?

The main role of the Ambassador is to represent the University College at a variety of events that will take place throughout the course of the year. You may be called upon to conduct tours of the campus, help out at open days, talk to prospective students and their parents, and also help represent the University College at HE fairs locally, regionally and nationally. There is also the opportunity to visit your former school or college and talk to pupils there about life as a student of Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln.

What do you get out of becoming a Student Ambassador?

This is a very rewarding role. You will have the opportunity to meet new people and gain new skills. Your communication and presenting skills will be put to the test and we can provide any training if you need it. You may get preference for BG employment. It's also something good to have on your CV: it is attractive to prospective employers if you've been involved with something outside of your studies, as part of this you will be rewarded with a certificate for your Personal Development File. Plus, not only will you be helping to raise the profile of the University College, you'll also raise your own profile on campus.
